Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based method for distributing the latest news and information from a website. In order for you to see the RSS feeds, you need something called a “reader” or “aggregator.” This is basically software that monitors the site and automatically shows you what’s new. Feed readers can monitor multiple sites and provide updates to all of them in one place. Some browsers, such as the current versions of Firefox and Safari, have built in RSS readers. If you're using a browser that doesn't currently support RSS, there are a variety of RSS readers available to download.
