MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 29, 2009 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) by the U.S. Air Force for education and research support services to the Spaatz Center Research Centers at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., providing expert operational and technical resources to Air University.

The Spaatz Center BPA consists of a one-year base period valued at $3 million, with four one-year options for a total potential value of $30 million.

"This win is a testament to the company's exceptional technology and information technology support to various Air University organizations."

Under this BPA, Northrop Grumman's Information Systems' sector will provide a comprehensive range of support services for the Spaatz Center including event support, acquisition management support, and information technology and management consulting. Northrop Grumman will also provide educational support including research, curriculum development, classroom and instructional support.

Work on the BPA will take place at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. Northrop Grumman's teammates include Odyssey Marketing Group, Atlanta, Ga.; Worldwide Language Resources, Inc., Fayetteville, N.C.; MTA, Inc., Huntsville, Ala.; and American Business Graphics, Inc., Naperville, Ill.
