MCLEAN, Va., May 23, 2011 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Linda Mills has been recognized for her leadership and professional achievements in the technology industry at the Twelfth Annual Women in Technology Leadership Awards.

Mills, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector, was honored in the Corporate Public Sector Large Business category for exemplary leadership traits while serving government organizations on the federal, and state and local levels. Among her accomplishments, Mills is committed to developing the future generation of leaders and has championed significant educational initiatives that promote science, technology, engineering, mathematics and cybersecurity. She has also worked to create a workforce and workplace that values diversity and fosters inclusion.

As the lead executive of the company's Information Systems sector, Mills oversees large-scale enterprise solutions and business operations in areas such as global command, control and communications; cybersecurity and identity management; homeland security; health, public safety and enterprise infrastructure; and business transformation.

During her 32-year career with Northrop Grumman, Mills has held roles of increasing responsibility supporting critical government customer missions. She serves on the boards of the Air Force Association's CyberPatriot national high school cybersecurity competition, the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, and the board of visitors for the University of Illinois College of Engineering. Last month, she received a 2011 Leadership in Action Award from Profiles in Diversity Journal for her personal commitment and involvement with diversity.
