ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., Nov. 5, 2012 -- More than 175 Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) employees volunteered recently to give warfighters stationed overseas a reminder of home.
"Sending these care packages is a way for us to thank those who serve," said Jeff Palombo, vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman's Land and Self Protection Systems division. "Many of our volunteers are veterans who have experienced USO generosity themselves, so they understand the difference these packages can make to warfighters who are far from home."
Nearly 2,000 employees work at Northrop Grumman's campus in Rolling Meadows. The plant produces advanced military electronics, automatic test equipment, targeting systems, electronic warfare systems and aircraft survivability equipment.
