BALTIMORE, Oct. 17, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Mary Kay Burch as vice president of logistics services for the company's Electronic Systems sector.

Burch will have executive responsibility for the sector's logistics services, including worldwide field engineering and services (FE&S) operations and will provide oversight for the identification and application of best practices across all FE&S and logistics operations.

A 21-year veteran of the company, Burch has held a number of management positions in materials, manufacturing, program operations, and program management. In 1994, she was appointed manager of manufacturing and test for the company's Advanced Microelectronics Center in Baltimore and two years later was named manager of RF subsystems production.

In 1999, she was appointed operations manager for the Land Combat Systems business unit and two years later was appointed director of F-16 Radar Program Operations. Since 2004, she has served as vice president of Eastern Region Manufacturing for the Electronic Systems sector.

Burch earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore. She also serves on the board of directors of the Maryland World Class Manufacturing Consortium and the Regional Manufacturing Institute.
