REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – Nov. 7, 2013 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) today announced it has appointed Cathy Rice vice president of contracts, pricing and program business operations for its Aerospace Systems sector.

Rice's organization is responsible for contracts, pricing and estimating, cost/schedule management and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations / Export and risk management disciplines. She will also provide support to the sector's chief financial officer, and oversight and guidance to functional personnel in program business operations.

Rice has held leadership positions in estimating, contracts, business management and cost/schedule management at Northrop Grumman. Most recently, she was director of contracts for Military Aircraft Systems.

In that role, Rice's responsibilities included contracts activities with the U.S. Navy, Army and Air Force customers for products such as the E-2D Hawkeye, E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System, B-2 Spirit and mine warfare technologies. Additionally, Rice worked with industry partners in support of the F/A-18, EA-18G and F-35 programs. In 2011, she led the Contracts organization through the successful negotiation of the $1.7 billion NATO Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) contract with the NATO AGS Management Agency.

Rice earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Cortland State University of New York. She has also completed numerous advanced management programs with Northrop Grumman and graduate accreditations through the Florida Institute of Technology.
