ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., Dec. 20, 2012 -- For 20 years, employees at Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Rolling Meadows campus have been collecting gifts every December to brighten the holidays for those in need.
Part of an annual tradition of community support, the holiday gift drive supports organizations that help disabled children and adults reach their full potential, assist women and families in shelters, and provide services to at-risk youth. This year, employees delivered gifts to more than 200 clients of those organizations.
"This year marks the 20th anniversary of our holiday gift drive, and our employees have been increasingly generous over those years," said Jeff Palombo, vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman's Land and Self Protection Systems division. "Giving back to the community is an important part of who we are at Northrop Grumman. Our employees take that to heart."
The campus also participates in Toys for Tots through its VERITAS veterans employee resource group, typically collecting more than 10 large donation boxes of gifts for children and teens.
