Employees at the company's Baltimore-based Electronic Systems sector sponsored students and recently presented the shoes at an event held at the school.

"Maryland City Elementary School is fortunate to have Northrop Grumman as a dedicated partner in education," said school counselor Christiane Januszewski. "The employees at Northrop Grumman have generously provided more than one hundred pairs of shoes and the children were excited to receive a new pair of shoes."

"Northrop Grumman is proud to partner with Maryland City Elementary School for the Shoes that Fit Program," said Ted Imes, director of Corporate Citizenship at Northrop Grumman's Electronic Systems Sector.

Northrop Grumman employees have maintained a long-time community and educational outreach partnership with the Anne Arundel County elementary school.

"Our work with the school began many years ago when our employees started a mentoring program with the school and the program continues today," said Imes.

Januszewski added, "At present we have over fifty mentors who work with students one-on-one in our media center each week. We truly appreciate all that Northrop Grumman has done for the students at Maryland City."
