NEWPORT NEWS, Va., July 29, 2010 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed Fred Dohse and David Eyler to key positions at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), located in Aiken, S.C.
Dohse has assumed the role of executive vice president and chief operating officer of SRNS and is responsible for the safe and efficient management of the management and operations contract at the Savannah River Site. He reports to Doug Stitzel, vice president of Department of Energy Programs for Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding and president of Newport News Industrial.
Dohse, a retired Navy captain, has successfully led a variety of key assignments at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding and its subsidiary Newport News Nuclear. Most recently, he served as vice president of Nuclear Material Operations at SRNS. Previously, he served as program director of the USS
George H. W. Bush
(CVN 77) nuclear-powered aircraft carrier program at the company's Newport News, Va. facility.
David Eyler has been appointed to the position of vice president of Nuclear Materials Operations at SRNS. Eyler, also a retired Navy captain, came to Newport News Nuclear from a key position with the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. He reports to Dohse.
Jon Fagan, vice president of Engineering and Nuclear Safety at SRNS continues in this position and also reports to Dohse.
