RESTON, Va., March 4, 2009 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named David L. Ryan sector vice president for business development at its Information Systems sector, reporting directly to Linda A. Mills, corporate vice president and president of Information Systems.
Ryan most recently served as the sector vice president for programs for the former Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector.
"As we build this sector into an information systems powerhouse, Dave will lead the way in identifying and vigorously pursuing new opportunities across the defense, intelligence, civil and advisory services markets," Mills said. "Because of his deep background in leading and developing businesses and his focus on continually improving quality, productivity and program performance, Dave is the best person to lead our efforts to provide our wide range of customers with the best solutions possible to meet their missions."
Ryan has also served as sector vice president and general manager of the Civil Systems division with Northrop Grumman's former Space Technology sector and as program manager for the National Polar-Orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite Systems program.
He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Rice University in Houston.
