DULLES, Va.Feb. 17, 2015--
Orbital ATK, Inc. (NYSE: OA), a global leader in aerospace and defense
technologies, will feature a wide range of the company s defense
products and advanced capabilities as an exhibitor during IDEX 2015.
IDEX takes place biennially at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre,
February 22-26, 2015. The Orbital ATK display is located at stand 03-A06.
Orbital ATK was recently formed by the merger of Orbital Sciences
Corporation and the aerospace and defense businesses of Alliant
Techsystems (ATK). IDEX 2015 is the first international show for the
company under the name Orbital ATK. Orbital ATK serves several U.S.
allies in the region with defense products and services, making IDEX an
important place to debut the new company identity.
IDEX 2015 provides Orbital ATK the opportunity to highlight products and
services available to U.S.-allied nations seeking a sovereign defense
capability encompassing ground, air, sea and space. These include
precision guidance for artillery and mortars; Hatchet weapon system;
small-, medium- and large-caliber ammunition on multiple weapons
platforms; and medium-caliber cannons available in 30mm and 40mm
configurations. Additionally, attendees can meet with Orbital ATK
representatives to learn more about the company s integrated logistics,
support and training offerings for medium-caliber cannons.
Orbital ATK also will feature the company's capabilities in managing
ammunition facilities and creating opportunities for international
partners to develop sovereign defense industrial capabilities.
Also on display is Orbital ATK's ability to upgrade and integrate
offensive and defense air capabilities with the Advanced Anti-Radiation
Guided Missile (AARGM), ShotFinder Acoustic Threat Warning System and
the AAR-47 Missile Warning System. Additionally, details are available
on the company s innovative line of customized gunships that provide
allied nations with next generation intelligence; surveillance and
reconnaissance platforms; and are outfitted with a variety of weapon
systems.
Orbital ATK has expanded the continuum of its air, land and sea defense
capabilities displays to include space through the exhibition of its
line of satellite platforms. Specific products on display at IDEX 2015
include Orbital ATK s GEOStar-2 and GEOStar-3 geostationary Earth-orbit
communications satellite platforms, as well as the company s medium-,
small- and microsatellite-class systems primarily used in low-Earth
orbit, as well as other specialized space system architectures. These
satellite platforms support a wide variety of customer missions in the
defense and intelligence, scientific, remote sensing, hosted payloads
and commercial communications markets. The exhibit also features
ViviSat s Mission Extension Vehicle, which provides in-orbit satellite
life extension service to virtually all geostationary satellites.
