VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Jan. 27, 2011 -- A team led by Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has been selected by the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) to compete for task orders to provide shipboard, submarine and shore-based Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) global installation support.

Northrop Grumman subsidiary AMSEC LLC was awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ), multiple-award contract with a ceiling of $794 million. In addition, the contract includes an option that, if exercised, would increase the ceiling value to approximately $1.3 billion.

"This contract provides AMSEC the opportunity to provide SPAWAR with a wide-range of expertise in support of their critical mission," said Harris Leonard, vice president of Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding and president of AMSEC LLC. "We look forward to providing quality installation products and services which will enable our customer to meet existing and future afloat and shore mission objectives."

AMSEC's portion of the work will be performed in Charleston, S.C.; Norfolk/Tidewater Area, Va.; Mayport, Fla.; San Diego; and in other continental United States and worldwide areas. The work is expected to be completed by January 2016.
