CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. Â Oct. 19, 2005 - Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has supplied a suite of bridge electronics for two new megayachts being built at Benetti shipyards in Italy.
The equipment was delivered by Northrop GrummanÂs Sperry Marine business unit, through its megayacht center of excellence based in Hamburg, Germany. The two new vessels are the 45-meter composite motoryacht MY Idyllwild and 63-meter steel motoryacht FB 233. Idyllwild (hull number BV005) is being fitted with a gyrocompass, high-speed autopilot, steering system, magnetic compass and indicators and repeaters. The equipment list for FB 233 includes a fiber-optic gyrocompass, speed log, steering system and other components.
