BUFFALO, N.Y. – Aug. 19, 2013 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) recently held the second annual meeting for domestic users of its Combat Electromagnetic Environment Simulator (CEESIM) systems, where 28 military and industrial personnel from 13 organizations received customized hands-on training and real-time demonstrations of the latest CEESIM enhancements.

"Providing our CEESIM users with the opportunity to sit down with us face-to-face, ask questions and provide their perspectives is beneficial to everyone involved," said Joe Downie, site director of Northrop Grumman's Buffalo-based Amherst Systems business unit, which hosted the event. "This is the ideal forum to collaboratively identify potential opportunities for enhancing system performance, product support and customer service."

Throughout the event, attendees participated in real-time demonstrations of the latest generation of CEESIM digital hardware and low-cost radio frequency (RF) synthesis technology as well as the Compact Signal Measurement System and Automated Test software tools. Users were also taken through the steps necessary to upgrade and enhance existing CEESIM systems to provide increased reliability and maintainability.

The Northrop Grumman CEESIM is an advanced technology simulator that generates complex dynamic electromagnetic environments to simulate true-to-war conditions. CEESIM provides angle-of-arrival radio frequency simulation techniques including phase, amplitude and time difference of arrival. The system includes an updated user interface that makes programming complex emitters more intuitive while allowing the operator to customize the interface to suit specific needs.
