APOPKA, Fla., Nov. 18, 2010 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Laser Systems business unit recently donated $7,500 to the Autism Society of Greater Orlando (ASGO), a volunteer organization committed to assisting children and adults with autism in the Central Florida area.

"Autism affects one out of every 150 people across the country," said Donna Lorman, ASGO director. "Through generous donations from organizations such as Northrop Grumman, we are able to provide social, employment, independent living and self-help skills for individuals with autism throughout Central Florida."

In addition to the services offered for individuals who have autism, the Northrop Grumman contribution will help fund ASGO's support groups for siblings and parents, as well as educational awareness for hospital staff, schools, businesses and other organizations that would like more information about autism, Lorman added.

"Northrop Grumman is pleased to support ASGO's important work in expanding public awareness and understanding of autism, while helping to improve the lives of those who are affected, either directly or indirectly," said Gordon Stewart, vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman's Laser Systems business unit.
