MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 18, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has signed a U.S. Department of Defense Mentor-Protege agreement with the U.S. Defense Contract Management Agency to provide hands-on guidance and development assistance to Cirrus Technology, Inc.
Cirrus Technology, Inc. is a small disadvantaged, service-disabled veteran-owned firm that specializes in technical and engineering services, business operations, information technology, program and installation support, and logistics engineering and analysis.
The Mentor-Protege program was created to help small and disadvantaged businesses compete more successfully for military contracts by establishing relationships with large defense contractors.
Under this two-year agreement, Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector will provide technology transfer, business development and infrastructure assistance to Cirrus.
