RESTON, Va., Oct. 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was recently awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to provide management and technical support for foreign military sales (FMS). The contract has a potential total value of more than $43 million, if all options are exercised.
FMS is a government-to-government program for selling defense equipment, services and training that furthers national security and foreign policy objectives.
The firm-fee, fixed-price contract - officially called Team Ships, Program/Project Management, Surface (PMS) 326 Professional Services/Program and Financial Management and Engineering Services - was awarded by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) under the SeaPort-e contract vehicle. It includes one base year valued at $10 million, which could be extended up to three years, bringing the potential total value to more than $43 million. Northrop Grumman and its team will provide FMS case management, project management and technical support for ships and ship systems for the PMS 326 office.
