EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Jan. 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Integrated Systems sector has appointed Mary A. Simmerman vice president of Materiel at its headquarters here. In this capacity, she is responsible for domestic and international procurement. She will report to Tom Vice, newly appointed sector vice president for Operations.

Simmerman joins Northrop Grumman from Boeing Space and Communications Operations in Seal Beach, Calif., where she served most recently as vice president, Supplier Management and Procurement. Previously, she served as director, C-17 Business Management and Program Affordability, at Boeing's Long Beach, Calif., facility. She joined Boeing in 1986 after working at Northrop Grumman on the B-2 stealth bomber program.

Simmerman received a B.A. in business management from the University of Phoenix and an M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of Management.
