Northrop Grumman delivers the Integrated Avionics Suite for the UH-60V helicopter, which is designed to update existing UH-60L analog gauges with digital electronic instrument displays.

Northrop Grumman’s AUSA exhibit (booth #825) will highlight technologies, products and services designed to give the U.S. Army a decisive advantage in multi-domain operations.

Northrop Grumman provides combat capabilities in avionics, integrated air and missile defense, cyber security, training and multifunction mission systems. These solutions enable command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) dominance, while expanding mission capabilities and creating leading solutions for today’s Army force.

The company’s booth will feature digital helicopter cockpit and integrated avionics solutions derived from the U.S. Army’s Northrop Grumman UH-60V Black Hawk program. The open-architecture digital cockpit offers an affordable, safe, secure and integrated suite of avionics equipment.

Versions of the UH-60V’s modular architecture can be applied to many platforms and sustained through a single software package. Northrop Grumman’s avionics products capitalize on the company’s leadership and history in weapons and sensor integration, including development of the first airborne fire control computer nearly 50 years ago.

The booth will also feature the mixed reality training simulation. Designed to provide advanced and adaptive training capabilities, the simulation enables warfighters to train, test, predict and analyze more efficiently and affordably in every warfighting domain. These modernized, integrated and realistic training simulations reduce the warfighters’ readiness challenge, enabling them to decide and act faster than their adversaries.

The company is highlighting the cornerstone of the Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) modernization program, the IAMD Battle Command System (IBCS). IBCS is a revolutionary command-and-control system developed to deliver a single, unambiguous view of the battlespace at scale, as demonstrated during recent multi-node distributed and live air tests.

IBCS significantly enhances aircraft and missile tracking while improving the ability of combatant commanders and air defenders to make critical decisions within seconds. With a modular open systems architecture, IBCS allows integration of current and future sensors and weapons. IBCS enables “any sensor, best shooter” operations, optimizing limited resources and facilitating flexible defense designs.

Northrop Grumman will also provide updates on the company’s short range air defense (SHORAD) capabilities to protect the U.S. and allied forces from a wide range of manned and unmanned air and missile threats. Our SHORAD capabilities utilize sensors, weapons and command control to acquire, track, verify, engage and defeat incoming threats.

Northrop Grumman’s recently acquired ammunition products and precision weapons will be shown in booth 7841 highlighting combat capabilities that include a full range of small-, medium-, and large-caliber ammunition as well as its Bushmaster® Chain Guns®, which are integrated into the U.S. Army’s Apache Attack Helicopters, Bradley Fighting Vehicles and recently have upgraded the Second Cavalry Regiment’s Stryker fleet with the XM813, 30mm cannon.

Precision weapons in display include the Precision Guidance Kit for 155mm artillery and the Hatchet, a precision glide weapon being development to arm a range of unmanned aerial systems, rotary and fixed wing aircraft.

Northrop Grumman will demonstrate its ability to provide advanced soldier protection capabilities with its Counter-Small Unmanned Systems offering that incorporates both an electronic and kinetic attack capability to defeat malicious drones. Its advanced barrier systems provide a smart, networked capability to protect deployed assets and shape the battlefield.

Elected officials joined local employees to cut the ribbon on the new section of the facility that delivers important capabilities at Northrop Grumman’s Beavercreek manufacturing center. For more than three decades, Ohio employees have manufactured advanced aerospace and defense products in the Dayton aerospace sector that support the U.S. and its global allies. Recent facility upgrades have enabled new work on strategic aerospace programs to come to the site, diversifying the portfolio of work and bringing new jobs to the area.

“Northrop Grumman has expanded our operations in Beavercreek and grown our aerospace workforce at this site by more than 50 percent since early 2017. This has been possible through the development of advanced technologies and innovation by our team, coupled with partnerships with the state of Ohio and the Greene County Community Improvement Corporation,” said Wendy Williams, vice president and general manager, aerospace structures, Northrop Grumman. “We greatly appreciate the strong support from state and local partners and our federal delegation.”

The Beavercreek facility was expanded by 35,000 square feet in 2017-2018 as a result of additional work and a recent award of an approximate $90 million contract to supply high temperature composites for the U.S. military. The 154,000-square-foot facility currently has more than 140 employees and produces advanced aerospace and defense composite structures.

“This expansion signifies the commitment Northrop Grumman has to its employees, the community and the state of Ohio to continue bringing high quality manufacturing work into the area,” said Richard Passmore, director of operations, aerospace structures-Dayton, Northrop Grumman. “We value our partnership with state, city and county officials and thank them for their continued support.”

In addition to the work at Beavercreek, Northrop Grumman also supports customers located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base including the Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Research Laboratory and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Aug. 16, 2018 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has received the highest ranking for the fourth year in a row on the Disability Equality Index (DEI), and it received the Employer of the Year: Inspire Award, recognizing the company for its exemplary policies, strategies and initiatives that have resulted in measureable results in the areas of disability inclusiveness in the workplace, marketplace and supply chain.

The DEI is an initiative between the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN (formerly the US Business Leadership Network), jointly designed by disability advocates and business leaders and it is a trusted, comprehensive benchmarking tool for disability inclusion. The Index measures key performance indicators across organizational culture, leadership, accessibility, employment, community engagement, support services and supplier diversity.

Northrop Grumman received the Employer of the Year: Inspire Award for being a top employer for advancing its disability inclusion journey and strategies and practices that have produced measurable success in many areas. The award recognized the leadership of Wes Bush, Northrop Grumman chairman and chief executive officer and the company’s self-identification campaign launched in 2014, the centralized workplace accommodations online request portal and the case management system program started in 2015.

In the 2017 DEI ranking, the company’s Victory Over Impairment and Challenge Enterprise (VOICE) employee resource group was recognized with a Disability:IN leadership award as the program which most exemplifies strategies and initiatives that have resulted in measurable results in the area of disability inclusion in the workplace. Northrop Grumman’s VOICE organization strives to develop a sense of community and empowerment among individuals with disabilities (both apparent and non-apparent), advocates and employees with family members with a disability.

“We are very pleased with our progress on disability inclusion and the success of our programs,” said Sandra Evers-Manly, Northrop Grumman’s vice president of global corporate responsibility, and president of the Northrop Grumman Foundation. “Our senior leadership commitment and the involvement of our employees have helped us to create a work environment that values diversity and inclusion and employees with disabilities are an important component of our diverse population.”
